Island glass
More sun, more glare, more salt.
Galveston glass works harder than most. Raised beach houses on the West End have wide windows facing open water with nothing to shade them. Historic homes on the East End have old glass worth protecting. And on the island, glare off the water hits from every direction.
We tint homes and businesses on the island. One of our bigger jobs was the Royal Caribbean cruise terminal, and you can watch it in the video below. Homes get the same care: the right film for the glass, quoted in writing, and installed clean. Across the causeway, the covered patio pictured here is a home we tinted in Texas City.
A word on storms: safety and security film helps hold broken glass in place, but it does not replace shutters or impact windows. If storm protection is the goal, ask us and we will tell you honestly what film can and cannot do.

The details
The films we use on the island
Clear and neutral ceramic films keep the view on water-facing glass, dual reflective films handle the hardest exposures, and safety and security film adds strength to glass that takes a beating. For historic homes we check the old glass first and only use films rated for it. We bring samples and you choose on your own window.

Questions people ask about window tinting in galveston.
Interior film is protected from the salt and weather, and quality film is made for years of sun. We install it on the inside of the glass for exactly that reason.
No, not by itself. Safety and security film helps hold broken glass together, but it does not replace shutters or impact-rated windows. We will tell you honestly what it can do for your house.
Often yes, but we look at it first. Old single-pane glass needs the right film, and some glass should not get film at all. We will tell you before we quote.
Yes. We can schedule between bookings and finish most houses in a day.
Yes. We tinted the Royal Caribbean cruise terminal, and we do shops, restaurants and offices on the island.
